·       Check our website for our spring sports schedules.

·       Our Preschool’s Open House will be Thursday, March 14^th for new students.  Please invite families with prospective preschool students to come and check out our wonderful preschool.

·       The Lakeside Preschool is selling Boston Ferns, Red Geraniums, and Mixed Potted Flowers.  We would appreciate your support! We have partnered with Fitzpatrick Greenhouses to provide you with beautiful, quality plants.  10 inch baskets--$20  Ferns and flowers will be delivered on Wednesday, March 20^th and can be picked up between 12:00pm-5:00 pm on Wednesday or 9:00am-5:00pm on Thursday.  If you have any questions, please contact Ronda Ware rware@lakesidechiefs.com or call/text (334) 695-8304.  Last day to order is Wednesday, March 12^th.

·      The Study Abroad Group is participating in the Community Wide Yard Sale at the Community Center on Saturday, March 16 to raise money for their trip. If any faculty, staff, parents or students have any household items they would like to donate to be sold, contact Mrs. Johnston, Mrs. Mullis or Mrs. Corcoran to arrange a pick up or drop off time. They will also have baked items to sell that morning from some of Eufaula's best cooks. Come out and support these students!! No clothing items will be accepted!

·      The Book Fair is coming!  Preview day will be Thursday, March 14^th.  Students may purchase items March 15^th-20^th.  The Book Fair will close on March 20^th at 9:00am.

·       If your child is a senior, all financial obligations must be paid in full by May 1^st.  Also, parent volunteer hours must be completed on May 1^st.  Your child will not be able to graduate until these are taken care of.

Lakeside News

·       Monday, February 18^th is a school holiday in observance of President’s Day.

·       “30 guns in 30 days” drawings every day!  Winners will be announced on our Facebook page.

·       Check our website for our spring sports schedules.

• ·          Congratulations to our varsity basketball teams for making the Final Four!  The game will be Thursday, February 14^th.  The girls will play at 3:00pm and the boys at 4:30pm at the Multi-Plex in Montgomery.  Tickets are $8.00 per person.  Make plans to cheer our teams to victory!

·       Sign up for our 1^st Annual Turkey Hunt on April 5^th-7^th.  For more details, look on our website www.lakesidechiefs.net.

• ·       Purchase your admission for the Downtown Mill Jam on February 23^rd! Tickets are $60 and it will be at the Spot on Broad. You can also purchase tickets from Denise in the main office.

The Lakeside School

2018 Upper School First Semester Exams

Exams will begin on Friday, December 14^th and run through Tuesday, December 18^th.  Students should report to homeroom at 8:00 a.m.  The first exam will run from 8:15-10:15 and the second exam will run from 10:30-12:30. There will be a break for all upper school students from 10:15-10:30 each day. After the second exam, students are allowed to leave for the day.  School dress code does apply to exam days.

Please note that lunch WILL NOT be served for Upper School students December 14-18. Snacks will be available for purchase in-between the 2 exams.

Students will be required to remain in their classroom throughout the first exam period (8:15-10:15) as not to disturb other students taking exams. Please make every accommodation for your student not to be on campus unless they have an exam. Those students who must be on campus but do not have an exam or transportation will report to the gym to be supervised.

Pre-arranged absences for family trips will not be considered for nine weeks tests and semester exams except for extreme circumstances (refer to Absentee Policy). A student who misses a nine weeks test or semester exam for an acceptable reason such as personal illness, death in the family, or an emergency, must complete a make-up test in accordance with the school’s attendance policy. Students who are late for a nine weeks test or semester exam have only the remaining time to complete the exam unless there are extenuating circumstances.

-     School will be closed Wednesday-Friday, November 21^st-23^rd for Thanksgiving Holidays!

• -     -Attached is information about reserved seating for basketball games.  Get your reserved seats today!
• -     Middle School students need to pay their $40 by Tuesday, November 19th for the Alabama Shakespeare field trip.
• -     The Preschool is selling poinsettia’s and an order form is attached.  The poinsettias we sell are shipped to us from Young’s Plant Farm in Auburn and are beautiful, quality plants.  **We would like to have our poinsettia count finalized by Monday, November 19^th. Our poinsettias will be delivered the week after Thanksgiving. You may pick them up in the library (located in the upper school) Wednesday, November 28^th through Friday, November 30^th.  **If there are larger orders (10+) going to one location we will happily deliver them.

    JV and Varsity softball tryouts will be tomorrow on Field 7 at Old Creektown Park.  If your daughter is interested in trying out, please remind them to sign up on the girl’s locker room door.  There will also be tryouts on November 28^th for those unable to make the 17^th tryout.  Time has not yet been determined.
