Pre-arranged absences for family trips will not be considered for nine weeks tests and semester exams except for extreme circumstances (refer to Absentee Policy). A student who misses a nine weeks test or semester exam for an acceptable reason such as personal illness, death in the family, or an emergency, must complete a make-up test in accordance with the school’s attendance policy. Students who are late for a nine weeks test or semester exam have only the remaining time to complete the exam unless there are extenuating circumstances. (The Lakeside School, Parent-Study Guide/Handbook, page 14).

-The Eufaula Art Scene has tickets for sale for their annual wine & cheese art auction. The auction will be on March 6^th at 6:00pm at the historic Shorter Mansion.  The proceeds go to our area school art programs.

-Need parent volunteer hours?  Preschool clean up this Saturday, February 24^th from 7:00am-10:00am or Sunday, February 25^th from 2:00pm-4:00pm.  Please contact Ronda Ware at the preschool if you are interested.  Preschool phone number is (334)687-6132.

-The Preschool is selling Boston Ferns and Kimberly Queen ferns for $20.00 each.  They will be delivered on March 22^nd. 

-Our preschool-5^th grade classes will be participating in “Dr. Seuss and Read Across America”.

--Tuesday, January 23^rd will be Senior Recognition for our basketball teams at 5:30pm.  We will also recognize our fishing team for their 2015 and 2017 State Championships.  Banners will be displayed in the gym recognizing their achievement.

-We have rescheduled Honors Day to Wednesday, January 24^th in the gym.  Elementary will be at 1:00pm and Middle and Upper school will be at 2:00pm.

Senior Recognition

Senior recognition for our basketball players and cheerleaders will take place Tuesday, January 23 at 5:30 p.m.  Parents with a student being honored should meet in the weight room at 5:10 p.m. We look forward to this program and cheering on the Chiefs at their last home game of the season.
